Annual dinner 2006
The Zhubin Foundation's 3rd Annual Dinner was held on October 17, 2006 at Il Tignanello in Montreal's Little Italy. Foundation President, Simin Sarikhani gave guests and supporters a moving welcome, which set the tone for an evening of wonder, hope and joy.
Three organizations were presented with a Zhubin Foundation Grant, in the amount of $20,000 each, for their excellent work on behalf of families living with multiple-needs children. This year's featured organization was the Centre de répit Philou, a respite care centre for families coping with young children with severe handicaps. Thanks to the on-going generosity of our contributors, in 2006 the Zhubin Foundation was able to continue providing financial support to both the Doulgas Institute's PEPP-Montreal (Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychoses) and the Children's Respite Program of NOVA Montreal (formerly VON Montreal, Inc.). Over the course of the dinner, our guests listened to compassionate and compelling presentations delivered by the directors of the respective grant recipients.
